Last Night With Friends
Gabe and I have been so privileged to have such wonderful friends. Unfortunately the remaining of our group have left and this was the last get together that we had. We miss them already and hope the best for them in their future careers!
Nebraska
We were able to fly to Omaha and visit Gabe's parents a week before my family was to meet up in Kansas to surprise my brother for his graduation. We had a lot of fun! It's amazing how time flies. During the week we gave Ashlyn her first bath, we went shopping at all the pawn shops, the Good Will's, and we had a ton of great food, as always when we get together with family:)
So here is Ashlyn having her first bath. What a cute little girl. For the last 8 months she would always shower with us and sometimes she still does. But now that she is sitting really good on her own, we decided she was ready and she absolutely loves it!
It is funny how long 3 adults can be entertained throwing bread crumbs:) It started with Gabe and his dad trying to throw bread crumbs and hit the bird house. Then Loretta joined in and then with the last piece I joined in. The funny thing is Gabe hit it a few times, I don't know if Mark did, then I threw one and hit it dead on. Don't get me wrong this is not me bragging, it was just funny timing. I am not typically a good shot at all actually. Gabe can attest to that. Gabe could be sitting 5 ft in front of me and I will try to hit him with a sock and I still miss. I just got really lucky!!!
Goodbyes
The week went by so fast. We were so glad that we were able to spend that time with Grandma and Grandpa Ray.
Kansas
My parents actually picked us up in Nebraska to take us down to Kansas. I don't have the pictures yet for our time there. The only ones that I have are these ones of Gabe with Ashlyn getting ready to take her swimming for the first time. What a cute little girl with her thighs and all her chunky chunk:) She loved swimming and being in the water!
Party at Josh and Brits
A week after we got back from Kansas we drove back down to Utah for Kelsey and Noah's joint birthday party. Mark and Loretta came up for it to. So it was a big family get together and we had a great time!!!
We got there on Friday night and Saturday morning we got to work before everyone got there. We helped Brit paint her kitchen cabinets, and some other jobs around the house. Then later we had a big 'ol BBQ, with a crazy amount of delicious, fattening food!!!
Yes this is what you think it is. Ashlyn was a little grumpy this day so Brit tried to make her feel better by giving her a cathader. Oh I know what you must be thinking...YUCK...but don't worry it was still in the wrapping:) We got a good kick out of it though and Ashlyn was entertained for a while at least....
then she found out what it was and the picture below is the result!!!
BBQ Time...YUM!

Red Velvet Cake
Triple Layer Chocolate Cake
Thats right...1200 Calories a slice good. Just think of that when I tell you I had 2 slices, and 1 slice of the pie and red velvet cake. I think I consumed my calories for the year all in one day!!! I will tell you this.... I enjoyed every second of it:)
Noah stood there for quite some time just sniffing the cake! Pretty funny little boy.
Not only was there a house full of people, there was a house full of dogs. There was a total of 5 dogs. CRAZY!!!
Noah's new little tractor from Grandma and Grandpa. It was pretty funny because he didn't know how to make it go with his foot, so everytime he wanted to move he would reach down and push the peddle with his hand! Funny Boy!!!
Lava Trails
On the way home, it was beautiful sunday, so we decided to take a walk on the lava trails. Pretty cool!
Ashlyn
Ashlyn is now 8 months old. She is rolling everywhere.
She loves her tongue and will stick it out of her mouth over and over and over again.
She is so fun and had a great time with family over the last month!
Don't forget to check out my recent posting for March too. I just posted it Yesterday. May will be coming soon!!!
