Cress Creek Hike!!!

For a glimmering moment, 2 days ago, spring looked like it was going to poked it's head out of the ugly brown snow. Let's just say, spring got cold and decided to hibernate some more. However we decided we were not going to let that ruin our plans for a day in the sun! So that morning, it looked nice, and we decided that we were going to take advantage by going on a hike, after Ashlyn's nap. 2 hours later...It started raining:( We decided it didn't matter and we were going to go anyway. A little rain never hurt anyone. 20 min. later the sun came out. Things were looking up.

So we started our hike on the Cress Creek Nature Trail

When we started the hike it started to sprinkled for a minute, with some light winds...

(Ashlyn's personal taxi service!)

So I decided to take my heavy coat.

Then the sun came out... so I took it off.

And Gabe carried it...

(Spoiled little girl!)

Ashlyn was thirsty, and as a result, Gabe made the mistake of giving her our water! Lets just say that this little girl is a camel. She doesn't even breath when she is drinking. She will turn bright red, but if she stops the water might run out!!! She drank it the whole time he held her. We were a little nervous to drink it after her anyway! So the fact that she finished it off was ok because we were hesitant to drink any after her first sip!

(Unfortunately winter took its tole on this deer!)

Later the wind picked up and I was cold again, so I put it back on for the remainder of the hike.

Try hard to look past this beautiful little face, and notice the raisen stuck under Ashlyn's chin. The funny thing is this picture was taken about 20 minutes after we ate our snacks:) Oh our sweet little girl. She makes us laugh quite often!

About 2 hours from when we started we finished our hike... and it started to rain again! Ashlyn had a great time but I think she is trying to tell us it's time to go.

I tell you what...Idaho weather stinks!!! It's so unpredictable. The other day it was sunny, then clouds, then wind, then SNOW, then sun, then clouds, then snow! Honestly, it's spring, someone didn't get the memo!
